blues singer
he's done hard time
on more planets
than this one...
He shoots down 15 ppl
by only opening his mouth
& if the law turns up
he will lay them out
outlaw style
enjoying his day
in the sun because
because he's brought
sunblock
he blew the sequel money
on liquor, drugs, and a new smile
and he keeps all 3
in a black bag
Change is blowing in
like a monsoon
and the only
thing consistent
is randomness
and contradiction
this day would go
down in history
if anyone were coherent enough
to write it down
so he jots it all down
like crib notes
cheat sheets
on his wrists
til they shine like
track marks
forget about apologies
no excuses...
...they would remember
this great show
if anyone survived...

a job well done
and he makes like a circus
another town
on another day
wiping his boots
free of rubble and ashes
like someone
who realized he stepped
in dogcrap
and tracked it into church
hoping like ANYTHING
that the padre isn't
watching...
