Kinda reminded me of an Underworld Stage score in some obscure video game in the post bit music era.

Why...? he is asking
himself. does it
take a mystery to get you thinking?
he tells himself
it is because of
the distractions
and he writes this off as
gospel.
and then he
curses
himself for making excuses.
this movie rolls on
for centuries.
Why does it take you
a war... to start fighting?
he pauses at this counter attack

the old bone is healing
splinters weave
and cracks regenerate...like plastic
it's not a war he defends
it's our life. and they change the reel
which has been flapping
but they blame the wind

he sees everyone he
knows at once
drawing circles and X's
connecting the circles into
larger
circles, and the X's just
get brighter
but we couldn't tell if it was ice or fire

and just when you thought it couldn't get any better, his heart was full, and so was the other, and then their was her's...and the movie led to a sequel, and they didn't see the break this time, because there weren't any distractions and he wasn't even talking to himself anymore.
