i am your destructive he says and then he
stops.....they are having a discussion in hopes to prove the beatles fallible...if he can do this he claims the bible can be mathematically proven to be a piece of fiction...
they reach from out of the walls
and eyes are watching him
and he can feel them too
someone keeps knocking in the door
i beg of them be careful
some places are quite dangerous
some places spirits don't lie easy
black streaks follow him as he walks on thinking
i mistake the jackpot bell for an alarm system
but the music is so loud
and the speakers aren't even on
dont make them angry he whispers...
the discussion ends and most of the crowd seem convinced
several learned neigh-sayers tromped along carrying the same scowl...
...they won't be kind....
there are dead people all around me
we know about each other
cling to something
colors are changing again
and some other cycle claws it's way
into new light
and the music is so loud
and they've changed the disc...and the smell of plastic burning fills the air...they threw they copies of let it be and sgt pepper into the stove and committed acts of sin
...it's not a joke....
in my dreams they chase me
with signs...my eyes adjust
and i have both of my souls
the signs go away
and the faces stay
....be careful.....
run away they say
and it becomes my mantra
and i scream it
at anyone who
gets near...too close.
the soapbox is in splinters and shreds as they scream two down two to go in some kind of mad greek chorus there are fires and everyone is bald...the music stops...and he is back.....they hurt the ones who mean to hurt me...he proclaims....
run away
for your life
is echoing
and only he can hear
and he thinks it's his line cue
and he says it like
dialogue from some movie
...i am protected...
i bend a few forks
to they can't see my hands
now it's time for real magick...
